The Celebrated Parachuting Frogs Of Putnam County - Photos By Larry Ligget

Jul 27, 2011 - Research team of Luke Miller, Ashley Conard and Stephen Hesterberg examine whether frogs living in trees have evolved an ability to "parachute," that is to assume postures that increase drag during a fall. This would allow the frogs to jump from trees and fall more slowly, avoiding injury. The researchers worked under the tutelage of James Bendix, Professor of Biology.
